We meet every Friday at 5:00 p.m. (most people don't show up before 5:30 p.m., actually) at various locations, to speak German and exchange German magazines. In Fall 2009, we will probably meet at the Poblano Grill next to the 710 Bookstore.
At the moment, we are about 25 participants - university professors teaching German, SIU students learning German (different stages), high school German teachers, and German native speakers (exchange students and teaching assistants from SIU's partner university, Johannes-Gutenberg University of Mainz at Germersheim, and other residents of Carbondale).
